“Excellent value for money - Proprieter couldn't do enough!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2010

The owner Colin was extremely friendly and welcoming. I was pleasantly suprised to be offered an upgrade when i arrived and was equally pleased to be allowed to stay another hour after the official check out time which assited me in my onward travel plans.
Breakfast was very great and the rooms were clean. Great value of money and woudl not hesitate going back.

“A comfortable stay with a warm welcome - I'd be happy to go back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2010

My sister and I stayed at the Rondo for one night whilst cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats. We were made to feel most welcome. Although we had booked a twin room we were moved into a larger family room as it was vacant - which was very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and set us up nicely for a long day cycling.

“Host went out of his way to make our stay outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2010

Only stayed one night but left feeling like I'd known the owner for years. He went out of his way to accommodate our early start and served a manificently hearty breakfast. Great central location as well. As Sylvester Stalone said..."I'll be back!".

“Accomodating accomodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2010

During my brief stay in Dunfries I found all at the Rondo to be friendly, welcoming and most of all keen to accomodate my requirements. Due to travel times I required a check in around midnight which The Rondo were more than happy to help with and sensing that I was tired from my journey allowed me to get straight to bed and leave the more formal side of the check in until the morning. The guest house had a very personal touch and it was so nice to be treated warmly and friendly rather than just as a paying customer. A convenient location for the Dumfries area, spacious & clean rooms but most of all a welcoming atmosphere.

“A home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2010

From the minute I found The Rondo on the website, I knew that it was going to suit my needs and be very accommodating. I was arriving in Dumfries from Canada and did not know how long I would be staying in The Rondo but this did not matter to Colin and the rest of his family. They went out of their way for me and ensured that I would have a place to stay for as long as I needed. When I arrived, I found a warm and comfortable place but better than that, I found a family who were friendly and welcomed me not only into the B and B but also into their family. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the central location is perfect for those who want to explore Dumfries or use Dumfries as a basis for further exploration of the region. The breakfasts were cooked to order and delicious! The Rondo is not only a bed and breakfast, it is for me, a home away from home.
