“Fabulous as always!”

We always now stay here when we visit Scotland and enjoy every visit! Donna seems like an old friend not someone's b&b we stay at! We stayed in January and bizarrely got the room we were hoping for; it had been updated since we last stayed in it with the bed in a different place which was great and all the usual little touches we love about it! We were staying in 3 different places while we were away and slept the best at the Bank! Breakfast was wonderful as we always remember it to be and we have always felt very much at home! Donna please don't change, you are fantastic!!!

stayed at the bank on business after many years on business in the border country and found the bank the best of all.
donna a great hostess, rooms great size, beds even better .
the building is what you might call interesting, tastfully converted and of high quality
decoration
plus the best cooked breafast.
will be my first port of call everytime i am in the area.
thanks donna for a great stay.

“Excellent”

I fealt I had to write this review after reading one of my fellow countryman's comments on the lack of bed space. I can only say that being on the wrong side of 280lbs myself and having seen all 5 rooms available, I did not see a bed that I would not be comfortable in, and the memory foam mattress was to die for. I agree entirely with every other comment, Donna, the interior, the breakfast, everything was amazing. I stayed in a number of nice places on my travels but failed to find anywhere else which came close to the comfort of The Bank during my 3 weeks in the UK.
I would recommend The Bank to anyone travelling to the UK.

“Sleek style in Hawick, of all places”

I can't say nice enough things about Donna, the owner/hostess. Hospitality well above and beyond expectations. The building is quite interesting, and what Donna has done with the interior is lovely. Breakfast couldn't be faulted. The price of the room was so cheap that we actually decided on paying a few pounds extra, we felt it was only fair. If I had one complaint about the accomodation, it would be the size of the bed in the room we stayed in, which didn't leave an inch of room to stretch out, even though the room was quite large. The Bank is a great base from which to explore the towns of the Borders.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 and 2 would be your best bet. We had room 3.

“Superb”

We were staying at the Bank as part of my fathers 80th birthday, while attending the rugby. The Bank was very helpful before we arrived answering all my queries, recommending where to eat / booking the table. Having accommodation with a door straight onto the main street and the access to come and go as we please was fantastic. The room was amazing, with a king-size bed / a single bed plus a settee, there was still plenty of space. The hall even had a fridge with soft drinks at 50p, perfect for coming home from the pub. Breakfast was excellent with so much choice and Donna made us feel so at home. We will definitely be visiting again.
