This was originally a find from the internet not Trip Advisor.
We booked for 3 days initially and then headed off to Mull, after 2 nights on our original stay (we thought the first may have been a little too good to be true) we decided to book in for 3 more days on our return. The owners have renovated the house into an amazing B&B, and then made sure a great place is backed up with exceptional service and hospitality, I think I caught my better half talking to the owners at least twice a day - I expected her to announce that she was renting a room permanently after the second stay.
The attention to detail is amazing and the price was even better - we stayed in places twice the price that had good ratings on trip Advisor that I would not even give half the rating of this place to. Bathrooms stocked with Argyll bathroom products - we ended in Inverloch at a shop that sold these - good quality and expensive (The bath salts were the better halfs pick), breakfasts so carefully prepared I would believe it if you told me they get laid out using a template, proper cotton sheets and ironed pillow cases and a serious crease in the ironed table cloth - yes, its the little things (and its the husband who irons - see we do try to help).
The place is quiet due to thick walls, and unfortunately this means the wireless internet is best in the reception area, but as with all things, by looking for a place for dinner on the web other guests came by to do the same thing and we got a recommendation for the Seafood Temple, who says talking to people is old fashioned. The owners also helped with us organize bike rentals and suggested a few places to ride, all of which were great (except it kept on raining). It was a place you didn't want to leave (yes the weather was very bad on some days) and a place you felt at home in.
Both stays were on the ground floor in room 1, no noise from guests above or others arriving, both stays were in Oct 2011.
So this is 1 of 3 places I have written up from our trip (only 2 restaurants and one B&B in 30 days), it was a cut above the rest.
