“A charming and luxurious stay”

The B & B is on a hill overlooking Oban with a fantastic view and we had a very spacious and comfortable room overlooking the town down below. Louise and Donald welcomed us with warmth and ease, and were gracious and accommodating throughout our stay. Every aspect of our visit was delightful; the house was beautiful and clean, breakfast was delicious, parking was plentiful and the location was ideal. We looked forward to returning home and waking up to Donald and Louise each day, and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

“Wonderful find.”

We first came across this guest house 2 years ago and were first attracted by their wonderful spacious car park!
We were made to feel very welcome by Donald and Louise who are wonderful hosts and cannot do enough for you. Louise's full Scottish breakfast is to die for and Donald just keeps the toast a coming!!
Our room was very comfortable and spacious with wonderful views over Oban bay and the memories of the sunsets will be with us always.
All our needs were catered for and we look forward to coming back soon.
We had a wonderful stay in sunny Oban and would recommend eating at The Olive Garden (Lovely Italian) and Cuan Mor (extensive scottish menu and own brewery!).
Had disappointing experiences at Piazza & Eeusk.Would not eat at either again.

“Delightful B & B in Oban”

A very pretty B and B with all the finishing touches. Superclean. Superb breakfast. Kind hosts. It sits on a ridge overlooking Oban so there is a walk uphill if you do not have a car. There is a large private carpark. I can highly recommend this place.

Spotless accomodation, great breakfast and good value. Located on a quiet street but only 2 mins walk from town centre. Loads of off street parking

“A warm welcome in Oban!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2011

We stayed here on a tour around Scotland, and were greeted with a very warm welcome on a wet, Scottish afternoon! The level and friendliness of service was the same throughout our two night stay. The room was large and comfortable, with a perfectly adequate en suite. The Glenroy is local for the town centre, though you'll have a bit of a walk up a steep hill on the way back (don't worry, taxis are cheap).
Our only slight gripe was breakfast. It was fine, though not the best we'd had on our trip. It could be easily and vastly improved by the provision of cafetieres for fresh coffee - I'm afraid a percolator on a hot plate just doesn't do it these days. I would also like to see more emphasis on local produce - i.e. jams and honey, but now I'm being picky!
On the whole a pleasant stay in a traditional seaside guest house.

Room Tip: Do the 3 Isles trip to Staff, Iona and Mull poss.
