The setting is perfect, the rooms are clean, good breakfast and it has a bar.

The downsides - it was a little pricey for what it was, the decor is a little old-fashioned and not of the highest quality (some linoleum etc).

Our best to Mike, Marion, and Seppe (their Bernese Mountain Dog puppy). Dungallon House owns each of the five stars it has earned, and is a very relaxing place to stay. Mike is a first class owner\operator\(bartender :), and is a pleasure to chat with. The views are unparalleled in Oban. Chrissie, their cook, does wonderful things with scrambled egges and smoked salmon.

In all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing location for this old house refurbished into a so called boutique hotel.
Service is essential nothing left to gadgets and extras. Rooms have enough space and decorated/furnished according to english style.Clean and comfortable with friendly tenants.
We arrived w/t booking, therefore we were charged full rates.

Stayed here in July and was allocated a room on the second floor with a wonderful picture window overlooking the bay and Island of Mull. I think of all the hotels that we have stayed in this one has to have the most wonderful views. Three sides of the hotel have views of the sea or harbour. Lovely lounge with well stocked bar (especially if you like malt whisky).
The hotel is spotless and the hosts and staff very obliging. The decor is a little dated but this can be forgiven because the hotel certainly has style.
