My wife and I stayed here following a trip to nearby Glamis Castle. We found Alton Bed & Breakfast recommended on the Glamis Castle website and thought we'd give it a try.
This is without a doubt the very best place we have ever stayed. A friendly welcome from a helpful landlady and absolutely superb rooms. Fantastic breakfast too. The price is excellent also.
Ideal for those who require quality peaceful accommodation in Forfar and the surrounding area.

I have stayed at Alton House on a couple of occasions with my Girlfriend and have been greatly impressed with the accommodation and hospitality that we have received off Margaret and Ian the Proprietors of Alton House the rooms are the most comfortable I have stayed in away from home which is no mean feat since I have visited three continents in my time. Every aspect of the place is excellent and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
