Ihave stopped here 3-4 times over the years - the main reason i first stopped was the location just off the main road to Aberdeen - its a long drive from Birmingham, however i have kept returning because of :-
The rooms are comfortable and warm - somewhere to relax after a lot of driving.
Food is what i would describe as basic good food - the breakfasts especialy are the ideal start to the day - well cooked and presented by a lady of senior years that knows that a good full breakfast will set you up for the day,
The Bar area is small - but friendly - try the guiness its well kept.
Do not expect a Holiday Inn type of hotel - this is run by from what i remember a local owner with local friendly staff - however like anything you have to make the effort.
The only gripe i have is the room television - perhaps a little investment in Sky wouldnt go amiss - but then again i was in scotland...
