Attended for a spa day. We were looked after from the second we arrived. They went out of their way to give excellent customer service from the staff in the spa to the restaurant. Excellent. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting.

We arrived on Friday around 2.30pm, the hallways were a bit cold. The rooms were a bit dusty and I had stipulated that we were to have no feather pillows as I am allergic to them, however there were father pillows. The bed was far too soft and I had real trouble sleeping on both nights , which, is really unusual for me. On Saturday morning breakfast was a shambles. We waited 45 minutes for our cooked breakfast and it was greasy and overcooked. There was lots of other tables waiting for long periods too. There were no managers to be seen.
On Sunday the breakfast was much better as it was a buffet and a manager was in the room at all times. Would not go back. However the local were lovely and we found a really nice hotel to eat in - The Station Hotel. Would consider going there next time. Locals say there have been lots of complaints about this hotel and they recommend the Station Hotel.

Stayed overnight on a business trip, arrived at around 7.00pm to check in but waited quite a while to be attended to no one at reception.

Room was lovely and spacious looked over the course but was freezing when I went in the radiator was switched off never really got the room heated up, two double beds in the room which were comfortable, only issue was the trouser press cupboard, which you had to move the bed to open the door. The extract vent in the toilet was noisy and the wash hand basin and vanity unit could do with a thorough clean as there was old toothpaste stains down the front of the unit.

Drinks were on the higher than average price, seem to be short on staff one guy had to run the bar, take food orders and deal with room service which lead to queues at the bar, no one else seem to offer the guy a bit of help. Food was okay.

Spoke to receptionist regarding the vent noise on checking out which she replied that they would ask the engineer to check it out.

Staff were friendly. Nice stay but would be better in the summer.

Spent a lovely Christmas break here and cannot fault anything. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and the food was very good in the DALHOUSIE RESTAURANT. The pool etc was a nice bonus. Used the SPA for some treatments and the staff were very pleasant. All in all a most relaxing break and no food to prepare or dishes to wash! Would certainly consider it again.
