Surprised to find no recent reviews of this Hotel. We didn't actually stay here but came for an evening meal. Athough there was a wedding reception taking place, the entourage, guests etc were in a totally separate part of the hotel so we didn't feel as if we were intruding. The food choice on the menu was First Class ... we both started with the filo wrapped black pudding & apple ensemble which was la substantial & tasty starter. My partner went on to have a well done steak with all the trimmings which was well presented and very well received . I chose the salmon teryaki on a noodle base & this dish was totally mouth watering. The pudding was a delight as the Old Mill would appear to be one of very few hotels who know how to make Scottish "Cranachan" properly .... just the right blend of raspberries, cream, oatmeal etc set off with a nice chunk of home made shortbread. We asked for 2 coffees and were peased to be given a well sized cafitiere between us & accompanied by home made Scottish tablet. All in all a faultless meal, great service & very reasonable prices ..... we've already booked for next weekend (Valentine's!). We are well used to eating out in Aberdeen & Inverness & the Old Mill Inn is well up on our list of favourite places ... defintely worth venturing out of the City Centre & we both it was much better than some of the most expensive restaurants in Aberdeen City
