Typical "hix" in someways but comes with great breakfast,nice bar handy for night cap!The location is good ie.Just off Union street,we had a good deal at the Abercrombie bar nearby for meals and drinks,their was a "chippy" and "la tasca" within 5 minutes walk,or 10-15 mins. walk all Aberdeens shops,sights etc.We arrived by rail and it took 15 mins. to walk to the hotel.

I usually prefer small. personall run hotels and B&B, but for a short trip to Aberdeen, the price and location tempted me to try this chain hotel and I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was a decent size, very clean and with everything you would need for a short stay. The complementary breakfast was a nice extra - nothing fancy but a fair range of options. The fire alarm went off in the middle of breakfast one morning, not much fun standing around an Aberdeen street on a December morning without a coat but that was the fault of a guest ignoring the rewuest to close the bathroom door when showering, as excessive steam can trigger the smoke alarm. All in all to be recommended

Well done to all...my wife and I had a great night on saturday night 14th Jan....room was spotless...we had a smoking room and although you could smell the smoke down the corridor( not really bad), it was worth it to not have to go outside for a puff....there are about a dozen spaces for car parking and we were lucky enough to get one but the multi storey 50 yards away is ok considering your in the heart of the city (max £14 overnight)...well placed for everything and the breakfast was great...all you can eat and its good...a perfect night and we WILL be back.

The only downfall with the hotel is the carpark isnt very big! Hotel and staff great. Well had and idiot set of the fire alarm at 6.45 am. But staff was really good and organised. We woud stay here again.

I used to live in Aberdeen for years so in response to other reviews...
There are no nightclubs and certainly no lapdancing club outside the hotel. There is ONE all night bakery and yes, it will be frequented by drunk people at the weekend, this hotel is just off Union Street in Aberdeen City Centre!! Expect some noise. On the plus side, the bakery and a shop a few doors up open 24 hours should you need anything.
We have tried other budget hotels in the city eg Ibis but nowhere near as good. Book in advance for a great rate.
Oh and the most important thing to me..pet friendly!! Our pooch goes everywhere with us. He has always been welcome at no extra charge.
