This is a lovely Guest House, exceptionally clean and very welcoming hosts. I stayed here for 8 days and really enjoyed it. The breakfast was served in a very good breakfast room with relaxing decor and gentle classical music playing which sets you up for the day ahead. The food was lovely and freshly cooked to order, plenty of cereal choice, orange juice, yogurt, fresh fruit, prunes and grapefruit.

The single en-suite room on the ground floor was really comfortable and had everything I could need for a stay over. The TV was on the wall and the shower was always hot and good water pressure, the towels were white egyptian cotton and very soft. I understand wi-fi available but I did not need this.

This is based on Great Western Road and there is on street parking around but there is a good bus service near the Guest House which goes to Union Street for shopping/restaurants etc. A very enjoyable stay and I would like to return again some day soon. Would recommend for a business or leisure stay.

I spend a number of days each month in Aberdeen on business and always look forward to them more when I manage to get a room with Jim and Marj at the Kildonan. A cheery welcome and a bedroom that is spotless as are the ensuite bathrooms. They put to shame most of our 5* hotel groups that charge many times more. The breakfast is freshly cooked by Jim (none of this lamp heated rubbery rubbish that hotels expect us to eat) and caters for all tastes.

During 2008 I must have stayed in 30 different guest houses. Then someone recommended Kildonan. Since then I have never gone anywhere else during my frequent trips north. Jim and Marj are wonderful hosts and run an immaculate, homely, comfortable guest house. Tasteful decor, great breakfast, spacious rooms and very very good value for money. I would recommend it to anyone. I cannot disagree more with the rather odd review posted by someone in Nov 2010. All I can say is I don't think he or she stayed in the same Kildonan guest house I did!

I come to Aberdeen a lot on business and finding a good place to stay is not always easy! However, Kildonan is the happy exception - it's great!
Jim and Marj are genuinely lovely people- I'm being well looked after!
The room i'm in is at the top of the house, a twin with ensuite. It's immaculate. Very comfy bed, with a lovely soft blanket if you get cold during the night as i often do. I have a lovely big window, with 2 seats and a little table - fantastic for working in the room, complete with internet access. Tea and coffee facilities, fresh towels.
Breakfast is freshly and beautifully prepared by Jim. Fresh filter coffee too. The dining room is very contemporary, gorgeous wooden floor, beautiful and simple tables and chairs.
Aberdeen centre is 1.5mile walk- well lit if your alone. Kildonan is also on the bus route.
Shall definately be top of the list for Aberdeen!
