We stayed at the Skene House Rosemount for one night in December 2012. I think that this was our fourth stay there and I have to say that I was slightly disappointed this time. The Rosemount is split over a couple of buildings and in the past we have always had a room in the building above the conference facilities. This part of the operation seems a bit more custom built on the inside and is more like a hotel – including a very good buffet breakfast. This time we were in one of the buildings behind reception which was much more obviously a converted flat with a smaller bathroom and smaller kitchen and breakfast provisions in the room rather than the buffet breakfast. It was very comfortable (but not as spotlessly clean as our other stays) and we got a very comfortable night’s sleep. The free wi-fi worked fine.

Would I stay at the Rosemount again? Probably. It’s not cheap (we have paid about GBP 130 every time) but it is in a great location. It’s a quick walk down to all the shops and museums and you can park on site. Maybe we have just been lucky in the past and have been upgraded but I felt a bit let down this time.

Really enjoyed staying in this hotel. It is clean, modern, and has big rooms/appartments. The breakfast was good.

Rosemount suites are quite modern, with safe private parking and close to Aberdeen city centre (union str. is 5-10min walk), staff are helpful and the suites are well equipped for the cold weather in winter.

My partner and I stayed over New Year at Skene House. I had read a few bad reviews about some of the suites but when we checked in we were told that our suite was across the road in the church. I was delighted as these had the best reviews. We were not disappointed in any way. Everything was first class from the suite to the breakfast and the service from all the staff we encounted.
