My wife and I attended a wedding here in November last year. We decided to treat ourselves to 2 nights. I wish we had not bothered. Shower and toilet were filthy, we complained and were ignored. Food was mediocre to say the least, breakfast was so bad the first morning, we didn't bother on the next day. Some of the roof was falling down in the hallways and held up with duct tape. The wedding itself was excellent and the staff catering for the meal were very good. Pity the rest of the hotel could not come up to the same standard. A lot of the wedding guests who had also booked rooms were not given the rooms they had paid for. One notable mistake was that the bridesmaid had booked a room months before, arrived on the day to find that the hotel was full. There were a lot of complaints that weekend. As above, we will not be staying here again, if we are at a wedding at the hotel we will stay at Ardoe House.( maryculter house hotel charges almost as much for their rooms and they are nowhere near the same standard)
