Close to airport, good rooms and great breakfast. Parking for reasonable price while away.

Cheapest room for a midweek night stay was £164 + about £40 for dinner. Missed breakfast - that was provided at the meeting venue. The meeting organisers moved the meeting out of this hotel (to the AECC) due to the poor internet service and high meeting room prices. Sadly my room was committed. Room was possibly last renovated in the 1980s. Nothing worked well. Too warm - no air con. Even when paid for the internet service was unuseable. APart from location this is a very poor hotel. I won't use again.

Got stuck here due to a cancelled flight and was told again I had to pay for WiFi at the front desk. This has got to be looked at by all Thistle hotels. I was trying to change my flights, contact family, and this proved quite difficult. I ended up walking across the street to the Speedbird where I have stayed before and yes they offer free WiFi. That is the only complaint I have and I will have to say the room was nice and spacious. Bar staff was friendly and accommodating and food was good and breakfast was also very good.

After reading negative reviews, I was apprehensive about spending the night here. However, from our arrival to departure we were very happy. Friendly and helpful reception staff, who also upgraded us, and the restaurant and bar staff borges in the evening and at breakfast were charming. The snack food was good - nothing to complain about - and evening meal served v nice food. You don't go expecting 5* levels - its great for what it is. New carpets, rooms spotless. What else do you need? All in all - very pleasant stopover.
