returned to this hotel for second rooms very good food first rate end tha whole experiance first class .staff very helpfull

We picked the Tower for its location within the city walls, and in general were pretty pleased. Parking was an issue which we did not expect as we had thought we would be able to use the hotel parking garage, but there was a large wedding at the hotel when we arrived and we ended up quite far away. Room was pleasant and larger than we expected, although not spectacular. We ate in the hotel bar; the food was good but again not spectacular. And even though we had booked the room without breakfast, they gave it to us anyway. WiFi was an extra charge though. Would not call it a 4^, but it was good value for what we paid.

I stayed at the Tower Hotel for one night whilst in the city on business. I booked the room on the day I was staying and had phone the hotels reservations to see if they would match the cost that the internet sites were quoting but I was told no. So I booked through an american site and got the room and breakfast (£43) £20 less than what the hotel itself were charging. They only received the booking when I was checking in. The room I was given was big and spacious but overlooked a roof at the back. This was fine as it was for one night but if I was a tourist I would want a room with a view. The room was big with a comfy bed, large bathroom with a power shower but towels were small and free toileteries not great. Breakfast was self service and plentiful. The hotel is in a good location if visiting the city.

It is no surprise to me that expedia rate this hotel as one of the best value hotels in the world - the rooms are spacious and ultra clean, the staff are top class friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The location is amazing - a heartbeat from the historic city wall, a little further to the gloriously scenic river. All for half the price of a grimmer hotel in anyother UK city. Quite possibly the best value hotel I have stayed in. Highly recommended.
