WOW

What a lovely place. Excellent accomodation, very clean, exceptional furnishings, very stylish finishing touches to the decor.

Professional staff but also very warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

Food was outstanding in the breakfast room, very classy atmosphere in the bistro with 5* food and service.

Nice entertainment and meal in the ballroom on saturday evening. (we would recomend the beef)

This place was apparently a shambles a few years ago. The owners now, as far as we are concerned have made it into a 5* establishment!!!!!!!!!!

WELL DONE

SHAUN & TRACY

Room Tip: Lovely view at the back of hotel.

“Fantastic wedding venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

We got married 2 weeks ago and had both our civil ceremony and reception at the Belfray Country Inn. We initially chose them as when we were enquiring, they were very warm and friendly and the place itself had a cosy, welcoming feel. On the day, they did us proud. The food was delicious and there was mountains of it! We wanted to have a quiz which made organising the room more awkward for the staff but they accommodated us and it went down well with our guests. The room itself looked beautiful and was pristine clean. Brian (one of the owners) did Master of Ceremony for us with great flair and was on hand from before the ceremony right through to the end of the meal. Himself and Geraldine kept us right about where we needing to be and what we needed to do, which was great as a lot has to be fitted in! The staff as a whole were very helpful and mannerly. At the end of the night, one of the evening staff kindly helped us to our room as our arms were full. The bridal suite is gorgeous, chaise lounge and all! Many of our guests remarked about what a superb job the Belfray did. We highly recommend them. Incidentally, there are 1 or 2 surprise touches on the day, which we loved. Thank you Brian, Geraldine and all the team for helping to make our day really special. Fiona and Patrick.

“all round excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

my wife and i (davisons)stayed at the belfray on 5/1/2012. the previous "excellent" reviews are well deserved. the room was as the picture, clean, well kitted out and very comfy. the restaurant was tasteful and the food was both quantitive and qualitive, my only regret is i couldnt try everything because the food going to the other tables looked super. the receptionists and bar/waiter staff were very professional (not being from L/derry i suspect the owners were the waiters!) all i can say is well done to the owners/staff. Definitely come back !!! one thing, perhaps a complimentary bottle of water in the room ? or a vending machine for same? not a criticism,

Room Tip: all rooms seem excellent, no noise issues for us

“Great place to stay”

How pleasant it was to be greeted with a smile and nothing was too much trouble...we were even shown our room in case we didn't ike it and could move to another if we wished...we stayed put! The room had a lovely view out to the paddocks with green grass and a small herd of cows, the room itself was ultra clean, the bed extremely comfy and we wanted for nothing.

My husband checked out the bar before dinner and assured e that eating the bar food instead of the dining room would be just what we needed...and it was, we had a HUGE meal with fresh tasty food. We loved the chips coming to the table in paper in a small bucket...nice chips too. the barman was really friendly and helpful...nothing was too much trouble...but he couldn't get over the fact I didn't drink alcohol and my husband has a built in driver at all times...he said he felt quite faint at that hahaha.

Breakfast next morning was also very pleasant. We left with some regret and felt we could have stayed longer.

Thank you to ALL the staff.
