“Very disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

We stayed for 4 nights and were amazed to find our rooms were never serviced. I had to take the wastepaper basket down to be emptied. The shower was pitiful and the heater was not working in the bathroom. The heating in our room was intermittent. When I asked for clean towels as the day's before were still wet I was told they are only changed every second day. However the rate was the same for one night or four so that did not make sense.

“Home from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

“Home from home”
Reviewed 28 September 2011 NEW
My nephew aws getting married in Ballyduggan Mill and i was dissappointed to be informed that their 11 rooms had all been allocated to the bridal party, (the bride was from England, and obviously had quite a few family and friends over), and therefore there was no room for us. However this turned into a real blessing, as (thru` Trip Advisor) i booked Ardpatrick Country House for B&B.
Yvonne and John were on hand to greet us at 4.30ish on Saturday afternoon, and although we were going directly to a champagne reception we couldnt resist Yvonnes offer of some fresh filtered coffee and biscuits. They really hit the spot!!

The `Mill` was only a mile away, and easily located, and a great day was had by one and all.

Next morning we were welcomed to the breakfast area by Yvonne, and our pre ordered breakfast was ready for us. This may well have been the best breakfast that i have had anywhere. It really was a treat. From the beautifully presented fresh fruit (thru` yoghurts and varied cereals) to the wonderful cooked breakfast this was perfection!!!!!!
We were even sent on our way with a complimentary bottle of water each and some fruit).
ALL FOR THE PALTRY SUM OF £55 PER ROOM. ( we had 3 in one room and 2 in another)

To our hosts John and Yvonne a big thank you...WELL DONE... you delivered all we could possibly have hoped for. Rest assured we will return, as will many others who make the wise choice to say no the impersonal service one can expect to receive from hotels and instead embrase this warmth you can only get from a well run B&B.

One other tip, Tyrella beach is only 5 miles away and is beautiful to walk along. It can be breezy, so bring along your warm jacket!!

“Ardpatrick Country House B+B - Great for little kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2010

Stayed with 2 small kids and Yvonne couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Thomas DVD and teddy bear shaped toast sealed the deal for our 3 year old.
