Alice and Dermot were brilliant and could not have been more helpful if they tried. Lovely views and breakfast excellent. Driving range was fun. Will return when next in Ireland.

I decided on Armagh as my base for exploring Northern Ireland and was very happy with the Hillview Lodge. It was easy to find, had a lot of parking. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the usual cold breakfast as well as eggs, sauage, ham, etc. The eating room is large and there is also a nice sunny reading room at back. The room was large and the bathroom surprisingly large! All was clean and comfortable. There is coffee and tea in the room, TV, you control the heat in bedroom and bathroom. They have a PC in the dining room with coin pay internet. Internet access was on the slow side, but it served its purpose in allowing me to check email and Facebook. If you miss your pets, there is a very laid back dog and a cat in the yard. One warning (which really has nothing to do with the lodge itself) - my Garmin GPS led me a couple miles down the road. There is also a good Chinese restaurant about a mile and a half away.
