“Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant - what more can i say”

Went to "60's - 70's" night with a bunch of friends and stayed over. Had a brilliant time and hotel was excellent. Food great, accommodation great and staff fantastic. Pool and sauna "just what the doctor ordered" for the " the morning after" , combined with the excellent choice at breakfast it really hit the spot. Can't wait to go again. This hotel is an credit to Northern Ireland with its warm, friendly, welcoming staff and its attention to detail.

“Winter Blues Party Night - Glam Slam”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

A very warm and friendly welcome from the moment we arrived at the reception desk. Our room was excellent, although I was quite surprised to find there was no minibar in the room. I attempted to use the pool and jacuzzi however it was so busy that I decided not to, it is quite small and there were a lot of people in it and I did try on a number of occasions during the weekend.
As for the Glam Slam party night - it was absolutely brilliant! Great value for dine out and stay out and the service was first class. The 2 course meal was excellent. A great night out without breaking the bank.

Room Tip: Just check you are not allocated the box room, our friends had it and there wasn't even a window...

“Great night and fantastic rates”

I stayed last weekend with a group of friends to attend a 70's night - which was in fact aimed at people who weren't able to have a Christmas party which was a great idea! Usually with that number of people the food can be hit and miss but I have to say that this wasn't the case at all. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We stayed overnight and the rooms were fantastic and breakfast the next morning was really good. Didn't get to use the leisure facilities this time but if you want the style and service of a city centre hotel with a quiet, rural location then this hotel is perfect.

“Excellent!!!”

My hubby and I decided to spend a night at La Mon Hotel as part of their Directors Special which included an evening meal. The hotel itself is lovely, with lots of little nooks and sofas by open fires, where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or a drink. The leisure facilities were lovely too, with a hot tub for adults only, so you didn't have to share with lots of kids. There was also another area of the pool with a jacuzzi where children were allowed. The deal we took had a meal included, and to be honest, I wasn't expecting anything wonderful, as these 'free' meals, sometimes tend to be mediocre, at best, but boy, were we wrong. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant, our server, Matthew was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The meal deal included a bottle of wine, and as none of us are drinkers, we asked if there was an alternative, and were offered shloeur or soft drink. The soup for starter was delicious, and we went for the steak with chips/garlic chips with a pepper sauce for main course. The steak was excellent and Matthew was very attentive throughout. When it came to dessert, there was nothing on the menu that my husband fancied, so Matthew rustled him up some hot chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, even though this was not on the menu. We did not feel rushed at all while eating our meal, and the service we got was fantastic.

Breakfast the following morning was relaxed and delicious. There was a wide variety of food to choose from, with most of the ingredients being local ingredients, which I think is important.

Our checkout was quick and efficient, and the lady on reception was very helpful in giving us directions to the place we needed to go.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, and we will definitely be returning. The hotel itself is lovely, but the service we got in the restaurant is what gives this a 5+ rating. I hope management knows what a star they have working in their restaurant.

“Beautiful Rooms, Excellent Service.”

I stayed here after a dinner party, I was not aware of what was on set set menu and it was only once I arrived I realised I did not eat what was to be served. I asked if I could have something else and was offered a range of choices without any hassle or problems. the service and food were excellent. The room I stayed in was beautiful, everything was spotless and the bed could have slept 4 people!

Room Tip: The premiem plus rooms are beautiful, spacious and great value for money.
