“great stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

stayed here on sat 28th jan for 1 night, had got a deal with evening meal. room was modern, clean and spacious.bathroom quite big too. the food was lovely and staff very helpful, and there was music during meal which was really good.
We arrived for breakfast at 10.15 next morning, it stops at 10.30, it was packed and only few tables left, manager in charge had an emergency so we had to find our own table, and actually had to ask for cutley, when we seen member of staff, not many staff about, manager was attending to a customer who needed an ambulance, the rest of staff seemed to fall apart though,This would not put us of staying again.

Dear N_IrelandDebz,

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay in the Encore. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay and I have passed your comments regarding your breakfast experience to my Restaurant Manager. As with most hotels at the weekend, breakfast is particularly busy prior to the end of service - we do recommed for guests to try and be down early to avoid the queues, however I can appreciate how attractive a lie in can be!

Thank you again for your comments and I look forward to welcoming you back to Ramada Encore Belfast City Centre soon.

Kind regards,

Jonathan Topping

“Lovely stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Arrived early at the hotel as we wanted to make the most of the day in Belfast, staff had no problem taking our suitcase and asking if we had plans, they gave us a few suggestions and directions. The hotel was in a good location for nice bars which we visited and then had a few drinks in the hotel bar chatting with other people. Breakfast was fine, cna't complain and again when we checked out staff were helpful and very pleasent. Room was nice and modern and had what we needed for an overnight stay. Would use again.

“Will return for sure.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Stayed in this hotel for a two night break last week. Fantastic location, 2min walk to city centre. Arrived at the hotel around 10:15am on the day of check-in to ask if we could possibly store our bags until check-in time, unbelievably we were checked into our room straight away, the reception staff said they'd check to see if a room was clean, which it was so we were checked in, fantastic service.
In to our room which was spotless, one of the cleanest rooms I'd been in, all the facilities you'd need, tea, coffee, hairdryer, sat TV, coat hangers and toiletries. Beautiful bathroom and walk-in shower, people say on here that the bathroom is too small, it's perfectly fine for what it is, the hotel is not a seaside resort and a hotel for kids staying 7-14 nights! It's business people and couples staying 1-2 nights on average.
Had dinner the first night which was quite superb, presentation was fantastic and the waiting staff were superb and very friendly, excellent dinner. Breakfast was very nice, missing beans but that was it, the rest was very nice. Day of departure was 11am which is fine and stored our luggage 'til 6pm.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, excellent.

Dear Bingy1,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay in the Encore. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay and that my team's fantastic service was recognised. As a small aside, beans are actually available on request from our Breakfast Chef who is available to cook items to order, including omelettes, differing egg dishes and pancakes!

Thank you again for your review and I look forward to welcoming you back to the Encore soon.

“Everything we expected and more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

This was my first experience of a Groupon Voucher. Bought two, one for ourselves and another for two friends as a gift and just hoped that we would enjoy the experience. Then I heard some bad reports of folks using Groupon vouchers and being made to feel like second-class citizens.

This couldn't be further from the truth with Ramada Encore. Michelle at Reception is an absolute GEM....it was almost like she already knew us when we checked in and she had our keys and cards ready and all done and dusted in a couple of minutes. The room, service, food, cleanliness, decor in fact everything about the hotel was as close to perfect as any reasonable person would wish for. OK, there are always those who want to gripe mainly to try to impress, but who needs a large wardrobe for a one or two night stay.

We ate in the Restaurant and the food and presentation was interesting and enjoyable. The bar prices are the only reason one could find fault....£3.65 for some shorts and a mixer was £2 which is a bit on the high side, especially during these recessionary times. We wanted to stay in the Hotel bar but in the end we decided to go out for a drink and found more reasonable prices close by.

The breakfast was a model for other hotels to follow. No 'tired' bacon or sausages, all the cooked items were so freshly prepared that I wish some other Belfast hotels could have taken note. Breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble for the Breakfast Staff. In fact all the staff were excellent and appeared to be interested in having guests, not like some establishments were one feels like an intruder into their privacy. The Manager checked around the tables in the dining room and appeared to be genuinely interested in making our stay pleasurable.

Will we return to Ramada Encore?.....without a doubt we will, it was an excellent choice for us and we also enjoyed our evening in the Waterfront Hall and found Ramada a great reason to avoid having to drive home. Thank you Michelle and all the other friendly faces we met.

“Compact”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I have stayed in most of the hotels in Belfast City Centre due to socialising in the city. I must say this is one of the most uninviting I have stayed in. It is very compact, the rooms have the bare minimum you may need and not much else. No extra blankets and only one pillow each. No iron or ironing board and the open wet room style bathroom is slippy and dangerous for someone clumsy like myself.

Overall it is OK for 1 night if you are just looking to lay your head down.

Also note that the hotel no longer supplements the car parking charges so you pay the full cost to the car park.

Room Tip: Hotel restaurant is very good.

Dear Brads1972,

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay in Ramada Encore Belfast City Centre. You are quite correct in stating that our rooms are minimilist in style, with solid wood floor and open plan layout. Our bathrooms are indeed a wetroom style and while this modern design is not to everyone's taste, the vast majority of our guests enjoy this vibrant style. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the excellent food and service offered in SQ Bar & Grill and I hope I can welcome you back there soon.

Kind regards,

Jonathan Topping
