“Fabulous place to stay in Swansea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Being in Swansea for several days we stayed in the Crescent. From the first very warm welcome from Andy and the big smile each morning by Dena and Andy, with the lovely and clean rooms, personal tipps from the keepers where to dine in Swansea up to the lovely farewell on the day of leave it was an all perfect stay.

Dena and Andy did the best to make our stay comfortable and we loved the room, so we declined an offered upgrade. The chat during breakfast, time permitting, was an all perfect start of the day and the tipps where to go for the day made us visiting briliiant spots in the area.

The Crescent is some way up the hill and going out for dinner allows you to burn some calories (and alcohol if enjoyed) on your way back, so that the good sleep is well earned.

“Part of the family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

Just come back from staying at The Crescent for 25 nights. As this was a business trip where I was working in The Swansea Christmas Market I needed somewhere comfortable, clean, relaxing and friendly to come 'home' to at the end of each very long day. Andy and Dena did not dissappoint on any level. The Crescent is 'spotless' throughout, my room was cleaned every day with fresh linen and towels every other day. I was met every morning with a smile and fabulous breakfast and every evening with geniune interest at how my day had gone.
Thank you Andy and Dena, I left feeling like part of the family. See you next year! Paul

“Ideal for weekend break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

We stayed here for one night, the owners are really friendly, the house is beautiful and our room very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and well prepared. We will certainly be returning on our next Swansea trip.

Tip - call the hotel direct to get the best price for your room.

Well placed for Uplands and only a short drive to the sea front and the centre of town

Room Tip: The king bed room has a view of the sea, the roof does slope down over the bed on one side, so may n...

“UNBELIEVABLE!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

we never actually will stay here as on booking this morning (2 days in advance) I told the owner my husband is gluten intolerant, that remark was met by a pregnant pause and I was then advised to BRING OUR OWN BREAD for breakfast!!!!

It clearly says they cater for different dietary requirements but apparently on a BYO basis, as luck would have it for a further £30 we now have a penthouse suite with a hot tub not far away so really I must thank you for your incompetence!

may I suggest you invest £2 and buy a loaf for the freezer :)

Firstly, I would like to apologise to k8oops for the offence which was obviously taken from our telephone conversation. However, I must point out that my message was completely misunderstood! (Probably because the phone was put down without allowing me to finish my sentence)
I did inform this person that the few previous guests with gluten intolerance have chosen to bring their own bread with them (because, as I understand, the taste and texture varies greatly between brands), however, we would be very willing to provide this for them if they would prefer.
Once again, I am sorry for any misunderstanding, and woud like to reiterate that we do try to provide for special dietary needs that our guests may have, and recently have provided soya milk, decaffinated tea/coffee, soya margarine, and particular speciality teas which have been requested.

First time I've stayed here and it was great, spotless clean very comfortable and quiet. Lovely breakfast and freindly hosts.
Best 4 nights sleep I've ever had away from home, many thanks Andy & Dena.
