the friendliest couple we hav ever come across.

a lovely small hotel, incredibly clean with good facilities.

plus side.....friendly, clean, quiet, plenty of coffee/tea/milk in room.

minus side....shower was very poor.

a 10/15 min walk into swansea city centre....but we stopped at a pub called ST GEORGE TAVERN (well we had too), on the way into town.
swansea centre was a lot better than we expected.
wife went shopping wen i went to the match (sunderland got a draw).
about 16 ov us stopped in swansea for the night.....it was excellent and very friendly.
we were going to stop in cardiff (better the devil you know)....were really glad we didnt.

Situated to the west of Swansea city centre in a great position for touring The Mumbles and the Gower. Very friendly and helpful owner. Good sized room. Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly host, clean and tidy. Great room, great breakfast. Difficult to fault!

Stayed at the Alexander with my husband and two teenage children for a night, in two rooms on the top floor. Great welcome from the owner who showed us to the rooms on the top floor, a steep climb but worth it. One room had a walk in shower in the en suite and the other a bath. Both rooms had a double and a single bed and were very comfortable. Lots of little touches like plenty of towels, chocolate on the pillow, cotton wool and buds on the dressing table and a good supply of toiletries in the bathroom.
Breakfast was very good, a big selection of items cooked and cold to choose from.
The location is also excellent, near to some local shops which include a tesco and sainsbury local, handy for anything you forgot, and a short taxi ride (or walk for the energetic) into town for places to eat.
A good stay, and would definately use the Alexander again.
