We had lunch here and almost didn't survive until dinner. The food was horrendous. It wasn't even cheap. The options in the area are limited, but I would consider eating my own leg before going back here. I am absolutely positive that every scrap of food in the place had spent at least 2 months in a freezer. I couldn't even eat the broccolli.

stayed for two nights earlier in the summer.beds were stained with only the previous guests knows what!used tissues stuffed down the side of the bed,the list goes on...
carpet needed the love of a good hoover and the sniff of a bit of shake n vac.the toilet was like somthing out of a "SAW" film.i mean was it just a bad room?a human error of some sort?NO,i spoke to another guest who agreed that thryre room was "bad"-to put it mildly.
OK onto the evening meal,things could only get better ,yes?NO,the waiting staff arrived eventually,after of course she,d finished disscussing her sordid antics the previous night before-mills and boon it wernt!After my wife described what she had meant,i didnt really want her hands in ten yards of me let alone touch my plate.she did however smile on service!
back to SERVICE,she asked us in a cavalier style attitude what we wanted,handing a laminate menu,which would have looked shabby in a local diner.DRINKS,she asked?and it certainatley smelled like she had enough!
food did arrive eventually half cold,wrong and rubbery!the special was indeed special.
was led to beleive the place was quiet,but after midnight it seems the staff party begins,oh my...enough said about this nasty little place,be warned!!!

Booked cottage room for 2 nights - awful dated and smelly room. The Hotel staff were very helpful and moved us to the Hotel - we had 1 night in a refurbished room which was very high quality and the views were fantastic. Next night was in an old room - just about acceptable but there was a wedding on and it was more like a UK town center after pub closing (shouting and swearing outside until 2 in the morning) then a country retreat. Had the full english first day - classic UK fare - precooked and like rubber so didn't touch (would have been fine if freshly cooked). Day 2 went for the continental - first time I can remember being treated to a microwaved crossant complimented with a microwaved half baguette - the worst breakfast I have ever seen.

I could not recommend which is a shame because the location is great and the staff were without exception amongst the friendliest and most helpful I have come across anywhere.

Very poor quality hotel. We stayed there for just one night fortunately, in one of the bungalows not the main part of the hotel. The room was very shabby in appearance, not very spacious and very dismal with an excellent view of a generator and fences.

The hotel staff were catering primarily for a wedding party of we were not a part of therefore they treated us very briskly. We asked if there was a bath in the room of we were assured there was but found we only had a shower. You have to assume the staff knowledge of the rooms and facilities is minimal. We were too tired to go and complain and decided to go out for dinner as the restaurant appeared to be fully occupied by the wedding party.

The breakfast was also of very poor quality, minimal choice and overcooked when it arrived. Tea and coffee was fine. The quality is better at a Premier Inn.

The decor of the hotel, dining room and reception/bar (there is no proper reception) is very shabby and worn and could do with complete refurbishment. We assume the hotel relies solely on its reputation of location which is fantastic, overlooking the clean, sandy beaches and the coastline. It cannot boast of being above a 2 star hotel with its facilities, cleanliness and shabby decor. We did express these views on leaving and will not be staying here again.
