“Comfortable rooms in a character house”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

The rooms are large and well-equipped, ours overlooked beautiful terraced gardens. The cooked breakfast was great with locally produced sausage and bacon, sets you up for a days walking Mumbles or the Gower. The whole of the Mumbles is within 30 minutes walk, either through the village or along the beautiful clifftop . Yhe only downside is the parking, the small carpark is a tight fit for the 6 cars allowed to park and if its full you either need to wait for other guests or the hostess to move cars around. There is parking in nearby roads but that was also full one night we were there.
The road is noisy during early evening but seems very quiet at night so we were not disturbed by road noise.
Free WIFI also worked well.

“Didnt want to come home”

Me, my fiancee and our dog Izzy decided to get away last minute and found Glen view online. It looked very nice and had great reviews but it was better than expected. Very friendly and welcoming and very accommodating with the Dog.
Our room had a gorgeous view over the private gardens. The room was very tastefully done. The bath tub was amazing!!
Great location for the beach and local restaurants and bars!!
Also the breakfast, with home made bread!!
Didnt want to come home !!

“I was satisfied with our stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2011

this was chosen at the eleventh hour and the communications with the owner were prompt and efficient. The property is an old Victorian house, look at their web page for pictures and description. The location is reasonably central to Mumbles with beaches and restaurants within 10 mins walk, but the terrain has steep hills and this would make it unsuitable for the infirm. Glenview also has several floors and some steep steps so be aware if this could be a problem. There is parking provided for guests, which is an advantage, for Mumbles seemed to have little on street parking during the day. The car park may be a little daunting for a nervous driver, especially if it is nearly full.
The breakfasts were excellent, along with the service. The owner obviously has a great interest in food and its preparation. I was told that guests could have anything that they liked for their breakfast and I am inclined to believe it.
I would use the guest house again after finding it to be good value and comfortable. If I had to search for a downside, then the only one that comes to mind is the occasional sound of passing traffic, early in the morning, as I awoke.

“Wales trip”

I have stayed at Glenview many times and am always happy with the rooms and the service. The breakfast there is excellent!
The best room is room 2 - it is on the ground floor and has a large bathroom with a big roll top bath in there.
Mumbles itself is amazing. There are great bars and restaurants (I recommend Knights for food). The BEST ice cream sundeas can be found at Verdi's, and there are excellent walks all along the Gower Peninsula just waiting to be discovered.

“Nice B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2005

Great B&B. The rooms are nice, the food is great, and the staff is very friendly. It is located in walking distance to a bus stop, Langland bay and Mumbles. The only problems were the parking lot (very sharp, steep turn) and that the rooms were chilly. The 2 bedroom suite is very large and has a en suite bathroom.
