We booked a chalet for 4 nights self catering (£250) and were very pleased with it. Very clean, everything you could need to cook and clean, nice and modern design. It is only a 5min walk to the beach, staff is very nice and helpful, they even lent us some dvd's when it was raining all day! Make sure you bring some provisions, as the reception/shop is only open until 4-5pm and is limited but does sell essentials. Would recommend and go back (during warmer periods! and with a car this time!) Only downside points: no towels provided, the plasticky pillow and mattress protectors!

We booked a long weekend break with our Touring Caravan at this site. I paid the 50% deposit over the phone. I thought £80 for three nights was a bit expensive but I thought it must be good. I wish I had read the reviews first (Memo to self, read the reviews).
Not being a stranger to the area we know Porteynon very well as we live not too far away.
We usually stay at either at Carreglwyd Caravan and Camping Site or Three Cliffs both of which are fantastic places to stay. We thought this was dated and and unfriendly. Don't Bother the competition is by far better.

Me and my husband stayed here for a weekend in May on a spare of the moment thing. We originally wanted to stay at Three Cliffs Campsite but they were fully booked however I thought it was a really nice campsite, beautiful views and a really laid back atmosphere. You are giving rules when you arrive but I think that's a good thing, it lets you know what is to be expected. I particularly like the fact you cant play music, there is nothing more annoying then hearing the thud of the beat, if you want to listen to music bring headphones :-)

There is no loo paper in the toilet block which can be annoying if you walk all the way there and have forgotten but it does mean that there arent bits of loo paper on the floor making it look messy.

The wash blocks are dated but functional and do the job. I thought the owners where a little scary when we first arrived but once we spoke to them a few times we realised they were lovely but just don't stand for any nonsense which is fair enough.

The campsite is very much geared to families, so I wouldn't recommend this site to a young couple.It was lovely but I would go to other site first, as we don't have children I found the older kids running around right outside our tent a little annoying!

But all in all a good campsite with amazing views.

Stayed here last weekend in our touring caravan. Friendly welcome but was a bit embarassed to be given a toilet roll on arrival as toilet blocks don't have any in them as they kept getting stolen! I don't know which was worse - carrying a toilet roll every time I went to the bog or being halfway through a number two and realising I'd forgotten to bring the damn thing! (Had to phone my hubby on my mobile mid-crap to launch some under the door!!!!)

Anyway, site was lovely with beautiful views and nice play park. Very safe and relaxed. Toilet and shower blocks are dated and there's nothing much to do. No clubhouse, entertainment, nothing. The walk to the beach is quite far and walking back is like climbing a mountain, especially as I had a pram to push. Port Eynon Bay was lovely though, pretty and pleasant beach with a handful of shops and a pub.

Overall, nice enough but overpriced for what it was.
