Overnight stay booked for 3 persons - was incredible value. Made a mistake with date when I booked on internet -arriving 24 hrs late! I felt really stupid, but Manager could not have been more helpful - offering 20% discount on standard room rate and complimentary breakfasts. I am familiar with the brand in France - Etap are usually located near to Autoroute Interchanges but this is the first time I have stayed in one. It was all very clean and efficient, double bed with overhead bunk which our grandaughter thought was brilliant. Although the hotel is next to the Motorway there was no traffic noise as the glazing was so effective. The shower was excellent and bed comfortable but like a previous reviewer I would have appreciated another pillow. Continental breakfast is available until 10.30 which suited us - great coffee, croissants etc. All in all an excellent stopover which has converted me to the brand. Although there is a very large car park attached to the rear of this hotel ,on arrival in late afternoon 75% of the parked vehicles were commercial ones, which caused visibility/space problems for car drivers. Unless there was a 'white van man' convention on that day I expect this is a normal situation so be aware - but don't be put off. If you want a cheap and cheerful hotel where it is possible to get a good nights sleep I can recommend it. The excellent customer care was a bonus!

Stayed just one night, no frills but if you only need a bed for the night, this place fits the bill. Room was clean, bed was comfy and plenty of hot water in the power shower. No restaurant or bar but there is a fridge in Reception I noticed had chilled beer and soft drinks. Previous comments have said breakfast wasn't good but I thought for £3.75 you can't go wrong! Cereals, very fresh bread, fresh croissants, grapefruit, muffins and plenty of juice and tea/coffee. Only negative is that it is quite noisy from the M4 and even though we were at the opposite end, you could hear traffic.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently and were slightly surprised. Sure the room was functional and facilities were limited but everything was clean and the place has a pleasant atmosphere. The shower was excellent and the bed was comfortable, although 2 pillows would have been nice.The "Eat as much as you like"continental breakfast was reasonable value as well at £3.75. The location was good as the M4 was nearby, especially for those travelling by car [although we couldn't hear any noise] as they have a car park. Having said that the immediate area was a bit depressing. At £18 a room this is a no brainer for me and I will be happy to stay here again.
