We stayed as a family of four. We had two big double beds which was perfect the room was lovely, spacious and spotlessly clean. The price was very reasonable. The location was ideal - right by loads of restaurants, and a short walk (even for a three and four year old) to a little train station to catch a train into the middle of Cardiff. This was an excellent trip and I have very fond memories.

Stayed at the future Inn Cardiff for 2 nights because my daughter was at a swimming competition. It was ideal for what I wanted as the hotel was only 10 mins from the gala itself. Also the Red Dragon Centre was across the car park so took the kids for a bite to eat and bowling and had a glass of wine or two as I did not have to drive back to the hotel.
The hotel room was spacious and clean and had a great breakfast in the morning which was help yourself. Staff were very helpful and all in all had a great couple of nights here. Will definately stay here again.

I booked a good deal at this hotel where my two teenage children and I children stayed in a large suite which easily accommodated the three of us. For the price it was a large space. I slept on the fold-out couch - which was tolerable for one, maybe two would be a struggle.

Otherwise the hotel is typical mid-range fare. Average fit-out, with slightly above average staff. I chose it, partly for the free parking - which is not secured and partly for the free wifi - which is only in the lobby.

The position is reasonably handy for Cardiff Bay restaurants, although the walk in winter can be a little chilly with the wind whipping off the water. There are also nearby cinemas, the beautiful millenium centre, and some museums - including the great fun Techniquest. However, the centre of Cardiff, with its super shopping and great historic attractions, is too far too walk, but a 10 minute drive.

My wife and I stayed here on a visit for Cardiff for the weekend (three nights). We chose the Future Inn Cardiff Bay as they had a three nights for the price of two offer on and we knew the location was favourable.

The Room
The room was decent, it was large and had a desk, tv etc... The beds were certainly very comfortable. Also a decent size bathroom. The TV was a bit shoddy but I managed to connect up my wife's laptop to the sound system so we could watch movies on that instead.

Location
The location isn't the best but also isn't the worst. It is not located directly in 'the bay' but this works well as there are no barriers for parking so you don't need to worry about getting tickets validated. It is perhaps a 5 min walk (if that) to the Red Dragon centre and from there you can go on to the bay with ease.

Problems
The only problem we had while staying here was with our toilet. The toilet room had a constant smell of stale urine which wouldn't go away. We raised this with the reception staff and they said they would send someone up to clean it and fix the problem, we said this was fine as we were going out and about anyway. On our return we queued up at reception again to ask if they managed to fix the problem to this the girl responded "You'll have to go and check the room". We went back up to the room and no, the problem wasn't fixed but as it was late we didn't bother going back down as she didn't seem overly enthusiastic anyway.

Overall
A decent hotel in a good location and if you can get a special offer then it is a good deal. Customer Service could be improved, particularly when dealing with customers concerns
