We stayed here overnight on a business trip and it was very nice, the hotel has a lovely traditional country feel and the staff were very pleasant. The rooms are a decent size and I had a great view overlooking the fields with the Cardiff skyline in the distance. My only niggle would be when i ordered a cheese board after dinner there was no caerphilly cheese, I was a bit dissapointed as I am all for supporting local suppliers.

My wife and I stayed for one Sunday night on business. Elected to have dinner at the hotel for ease, but with just the two of us dinning lacked any atmosphere. Food quality was okay. Breakfast was decent, a few out of date yogurts on offer but these were removed when we rather unsubtly left them on their own. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Best bits about this hotel are the rooms and views. The one we stayed in had stunning views from the balcony overlooking Cardiff out towards the sea. Secondly, our room was lovely. Is was so nice not to be in a box room with diy shop style furnishings in ever identical room. We opted for a four poster room which had plenty of style and elegance, how many hotel bedrooms can you describe that way these days unless you pay top money. Overall we would recommend this hotel to everyone coming to Cardiff, enjoy!

My wife and I stayed for three nights whilst visiting Cardiff and the surrounding area. We arrived, with ample parking, to a very warm and friendly welcome. Lovely roaring log fires in a traditional country house location. The room was large, comfortable, and very clean. We were going to eat out but the staff were so accomodating, with a first class menu that we stopped at the hotel every night. I would certainly stop here again if in the area.

We stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding, and can only say how wonderful our stay was at this hotel . The suite was massive, and really comfortable, the gym is well equipped and the food delicious. The staff were very friendly and highly efficient. I would certainly stay here again

My husband and I stayed here last night whilst visiting our daughter who is studying at Cardiff uni. I booked online and was not sure what to expect. We couldn't believe our luck! Our room turned out to be a suite with an enormous bathroom. The view over Cardiff was amazing. The lovely sofas and comfy sofas were heavenly. The service was outstanding, especially the lovely lady on reception and Tim, the WONDERFUL barman!!
All in all, a fabulously relaxing break. I have already started nagging my husband to come back!
