Stayed a total of 4 nights (3 at the start 1 at the end of our trip. Sarah and John very helpful with directions and suggestions for church, dining, and things to see. B&B is centrally located, easy walking distances. Breakfast and service is outstanding. Sarah helped us with car rental, directions, and couldn't have done more to make our trip eventful.

I enjoyed a wonderful week with my son in the Preste Gaarden hotel. I must admit I had reservations(pardon the pun) when after booking, I read some of the reviews posted here. No doubt , I could nit-pick over areas that might need decoration or have become 'run-down', but I could not fault the cleaning staff's efforts.

John is a very attentive host and the breakfasts on offer would not be amiss in a 5 star establishment.

Quiet, relaxing, friendly and ideally suited almost directly in the centre of Cardiff, the Preste Gaarden is an ideally situated and well turned out establishment for holiday visitors and I imagine, business travellers also.

I told John thatif I was returning to Cardiff in the future, the Preste Gaarden would be the first hotel I would try to book with.

We stayed for 1 week at Preste Garden. We were very pleased with the rooms.
The breakfasts were traditional english breakfasts with toast, marmelade, tee or coffee, also a hot menu with bacon and eggs etc.
The service is excellent, it's like beeing home, but away...
We even got help with how to get to Roath Park, if you like birds, it's definatly worth a visit.
We love to come back, they have really good prices!

We had the room with balcony and garden view and we loved it. Excellent breakfast and warm welcome. Close to Sophia Gardens which we crossed every morning to walk to "work". Nice talks, good recommendations ....
