Used this hotel as the base for my Stag party and its perfect for this. Basic rooms, close to train station, bookies, pubs and clubs. When I go back to Cardiff for a night out, I will definately use this hotel again.

Location: bit of a walk from the train station, but handy for bars, clubs and shopping.

Staff: didn't see much of them, but then again, didn't need to. On check-in they were courteous and effecient.

Room: standard fayer for travelodge. Clean, plain etc. Bit noisy as mine was opposite a live music venue and it was freshers week. But nothing you wouldn't expect of a city centre hotel.

Overall: happy enough

Me and eight friends stayed here for three nights the week before christmas and only payed 59 quid!!! For this price you dont expect much but the bed was comfy it was very clean tea and coffee making facilities in the room. As for the noise I didnt hear it at all as I was at the back but overall a great stay.

Stayed on 10/12/11 for the Status Quo concert in the Motorpoint Arena. Booked 4 rooms.
At check-in we were forced to sign some letter about causing damage and making a noise and what would be done if we did, we are 4 blokes in our 40's NOT flaming teenagers!!!!!

Finally got to the rooms, not to bad by usual Travelodge standards, but nothing brilliant either.

Went to the gig and had a meal and a couple of beers afterwards. Got back to the room about 1am, might as well have stayed out until 6am, because thats when the extremely loud music from the nightclub below finished!!

Will never ever stay here again, I'm not an overly fusy person, but that racket was a bit to much.

Will pay the extra and stay at the Premier Inn for my next gig in Cardiff.
