Cathedral road is a great base to explore Cardiff city centre and the town house is fortunate enough to be in a great location. If you are a fan of dated decor and bog standard breakfasts, then this is the place for you. At breakfast, there was a choice of 2 tables. I dislike being forced to socialise in the morning. on the plus side, service was polite and room was clean. But bedding was inadequate, sheets as opposed to a duvet and room was on the cool side. I visited the Lincoln b&b just up the road from the town house not long ago and got much more for my money.

I've stayed here for 2 nights with my kids aged 3 & 5. Within cycling distance (along scenic river Taff) from the center and the bay, it was a perfect base camp to visit Cardiff.
Charles & Paula were very helpfull getting an extra mattres in the room for the kids to sleep on and sorting out a safe place to keep our cycles overnight.
1 little niggle? We had a room at the front & I thought Cathedral Road was a little too busy for a good nights rest.

Just a short walk into town, in a nice area with pubs around. Room was clean with a nice en suite and had everything we needed. Very helpful people. Great breakfast in the morning.

Warm and comfortable, lovely to have a large room after so many small rooms on our travels! Erica, who served our breakfast, was friendly and helpful. Good value for money, a great position, and although the street was busy we heard no noise at night. Good pub just 2 doors down, the Cricketers Arms I think it was called, or something similar - very good food and friendly service. Short walk to the city centre.
