An older row house transformed into a very pleasant, comfortably furnished, 3-storey walk-up hotel. Our room was small, nothing fancy, but certainly adequate for two. Breakfast was cooked to order and although the breakfast menu was limited and never changed, they would prepare anything we asked for. The location is perfect for walking around the old city of Cardiff and right on a bus route for going further afield. There is even a very decent pub just two doors away. The staff, however, were so friendly, so willing to help with any request or problem, that we felt like we were staying in a big house with good friends. In fact, many of the other guests we met were business people who travel to Cardiff regularly and always stay at The Town House. That tells you a lot.

Our party of 3 Heineken-cup fans stayed in the Townhouse last weekend. From start to finish our stay was enjoyable. We found the accommodation very comfortable, convenient to the rugby and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended, we will be back..

We have stayed at this B&B before, having tried several in the area. It is ideally situated for walking into town for shopping/concerts, etc. The Beverley pub is situated right opposite and The Cricketers Arms 2 doors away. Despite being near pubs, we didn't find it noisy at night. The rooms are always spotless and there is obviously good attention to detail. We were pleased to see Erika is still working there, as she is very friendly and efficient at breakfast. My only grievance is I would prefer to have a duvet on the bed, because I am allergic to blankets. There were extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe, which I had to use because I got cold in the night. Overall I would always recommend this B&B for its high level of cleanliness.

Cathedral road is a great base to explore Cardiff city centre and the town house is fortunate enough to be in a great location. If you are a fan of dated decor and bog standard breakfasts, then this is the place for you. At breakfast, there was a choice of 2 tables. I dislike being forced to socialise in the morning. on the plus side, service was polite and room was clean. But bedding was inadequate, sheets as opposed to a duvet and room was on the cool side. I visited the Lincoln b&b just up the road from the town house not long ago and got much more for my money.
