We booked this last minute as we were going the the U2 show at Millennium Stadium and decided to stay the night prior to the show. The hotel wasn't bad for an overnight stop but it didn't seem like a 4* to me. It reminded me of a Travelodge with the exception of the flat screen TV and room safe.

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable - this kept me awake throughout the night. The duvet provided was very thin and small. The pillow was flat as a pancake.

The main reason for choosing to stay here was the free parking offered. We arrived to find a very small car park that was full and very very difficult to move manouvre within. A space did become available but it took about 10 mins to park our car in it. Still the free parking was obviously better than paying to park elsewhere - just be prepare for some creative parking.

In terms of food we did consider ordering room service but found the prices expensive and the vegetarian choice was very limited .

When we left the hotel on Saturday morning we found that the lift smelt very strongly of urine. Other than the lift area we found the other areas in the hotel to be clean.

Overall this was ok for an overnight stop but I wouldn't want to spend any length of time here - mostly due the the uncomfortable bed.

We stayed at the hotel for one night with a Trafalgar Tour. The rooms were nice and comfortable, however there was no free wifi, only a paid connection. The rooms appear to have gone through a soft renovation, with new bedding but some other things being left unchanged.

The hotel is in the centre of town and about five minutes walk from St Mary Street, the main thoroughfare through town. We ate at the ASK Italian restaurant on Mill Street just off St Mary Street and it was very nice.

We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food was not always adequately replenished but there was a wide selection.

The staff were friendly and reception was good with providing maps and helping make dinner reservations.

I recently stayed at the Park inn with a friend for a concert in the stadium.
I haven't been inside since it was a Jury's and was expecting a little shoe box room with dreary decoration and uninteresting food. What a lovely suprise i got - the reception area is bright and airy, the room was a good size with bright decoration, all the amenities you'd find in a 4 star (flat screen tv, safe, fan, hair dryer, toiletries etc etc).
Breakfast was included in our rate and the choice was quite large and the staff very friendly.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Park Inn and would not think twice about staying at another of their hotels in the future.

Was very impressed with both the hotel and Cardiff itself. Would like to go back and see more of the city.
