“Best Place To Stay In Betwy-y-Coed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

Excellent guest house. Phil made us feel very welcome. Coffee and hot welsh cake upon arrival.

Room was clean and bright and the views were to die for.

Breakfast was all made fresh (choice made the day before). Lovely food.

Made to feel very welcome and very much at home. I would recommend this guest house and would not hesitate in saying this is the best place to stay in Betws-y-Coed (and my husband and myself have stayed in a few places within the village)

Room Tip: All rooms looked great we had the top suite and this i would choose again

“Fab”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

My husband and two friends stayed at the Bryn Afon for two nights and would highly recommend. Ideal location, clean comfortable rooms and terrific hosts. Julie makes wonderful breakfasts. Enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Rooms are small by North American standards but worth it.

“Yet another fantastic review!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2011

What can I add to the already raving reviews?

The B&B is right on a gorgeous river, is immaculately clean and very cosy with quite a modern style to it (loved my bedroom & bathroom style) we were in room 2, it has amazing views and is a great size! Just look at my pictures.
Julie was extremely welcoming, greeting us by our names and offering tea when she showed us our room, she seemed more than happy to discuss the surrounding areas and the different walks up Snowdon, I badly sprained my wrist on the way down Snowdon and Julie was very helpful giving me bandages and first thing in the morning she was asking how I was with it.
Her daughter helps with the morning breakfast and was very polite and welcoming to, breakfast was lovely and I was very glad when she brought an actual pot of tea to my table rather than just a cup, this way I filled my own cup a few times and didn’t have to keep asking, great idea.

Betws y Coed itself is beautiful, very small and cute, just to warn any younger couples the town closes very early, not that you really go there for a big night out lol but even the Chip shop closed at 9! lol
We went to the Stables Bar the first night just for a drink, it was a nice place and the food looked and smelled great, sad we didn’t get to try it. The following night we had The Bistro booked which is meant to be amazing but with my wrist and the long day we had had we cancelled it (its a very good idea to book a table a few days before you go) and went to the Chip Shop instead, when we got there we asked where the nearest ATM was since we didn’t have cash, she explain they would be closed by the time we got back but gave us our dinner anyway and told us to pay in the morning! I’ve never known someone to be so trusting, very refreshing. Everyone in the small town seemed so nice and welcoming.

Lovely weekend getaway, we will be back!!!

Room Tip: Room 2 only has views of the river and the 500 year old bridge, so it is very quiet and beautiful, p...
