“Instant Rapport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2011

Everything feels right here. The rooms are comfy, the welcome is warm and the breakfasts are generous without being over-fussy! I liked my first stay so much (the Tourist Office earned kudos for recommending them) that I changed my return trip to York so that I could visit again.

All I can say is thanks Julie and Tony. I'll be back!

“'Spot on', great value, good service, perfect location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

2 of us arrived on motorcycles on Friday the 8th. We had a twin room on the ground floor with lovely views. They also had plenty of parking spaces for the bikes out of site around the back of the property.
Julie made us most welcome.
At breakfast there was a good selection of cereals and juices etc. The full English was cooked well too.
What a good location, which was handy to all the many local amenities, only two minute to the ‘Stables’ pub.
All in all very good value.

“Big B&B with a good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2010

Good location in the centre of Betws y Coed. Big room with plenty of storage and a big bathroom (although carpet floor - not pleasant). Proprietors very pleasant and helpful and happy to cook an alternative to the full english breakfast. Room clean however dining room felt a bit greasy. Fresh towels every day without having to ask which is excellent after a days exploring in Snowdonia. Would go back and recommend to friends - 7/10. Go to the Coaching Inn for dinner, (not in the centre) - absolutely lovely food but book ahead. Avoid the Lodge Inn for food - a bit like weatherspoons

“Lost my booking - but otherwise a good place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

Upon arrival they had no recollection of me booking a night there by e-mail, which wasn't exactly a great start. But they still had a room avaliable for me (pure luck, I guess, Betws gets really packed in summer), and I actually paid £5 less than the price quoted in the e-mail correspondence. (I paid £30 for a single ensuite, which I think is great value in this town.)

It's in the middle of the village, two minutes from the train, and within walking distance of both trails and restaurants. The full breakfast was good, and the room pleasant, although I wonder why some places still put wall-to-wall carpets in the bathroom. They also have a nice lounge for those who want to plan tomorrow's grand expedition, and a patio in the front which is very nice in the summer.

Worth a visit, but check twice that they have reserved a room for you.

“Good Value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 May 2010

Clean Bed and Breakfast with excellent breakfasts and powerful showers. Limited Parking but plenty of on street parking available close by. Plesant common room with excellent view. In the middle of the village and only 5 minutes from the station. Very good value for money.
Points to note which might be important to some are:
1. Breakfast available from 08:15 so not good for those wanting to set off early
2. No Wi-Fi or internet access
3. Payment is with Cash or cheque. There's only one cash machine in the village and it runs out of money on Bank Holidays.
