basically if you can go a premier inn so uch better than travelodge !
i always stay at premier inns this was my 1st and last time at a travelodge!
good points -

free parking
easy to get to
good for docks

bad points -

mold up wall in bathroom
un-maned reception
aircon did not work
bed --- shocking - the worse nights sleep ever ! fact ! it caved in at the middle so we ended up rolling into each other all night :(
no option of breakfast or evening meal

“Ideal for the port.”

We booked in to stay as we were travelling from Essex to get the early boat to Ireland for Christmas.
The travel lodge is right beside the port and ideal for late check in and early and easy check out.
It's not fancy but it doesn't pretend to be, and it's somewhere quiet and clean to sleep after a long day of travelling.

“Nice and Cosy”

We go to Southern Ireland twice a year to visit our relatives we always go on the ferry from Holyhead and we drive our own car because we can load it up with a few gifts for them, we travel from Birmingham, Its alright going but coming back with all that lovely Irish food in us can be very tiring, so this latest trip we pre booked on the net a one nighter at the Travelodge Holyhead to break our return journey up..... its less than a mile from the ferry! and the room was great! we got off the ferry at 1am we were stuck in a traffic coming off the ferry so we arrived at Travelodge at 1-45am very tired, we had the card key as soon as we walked into the place, the room was very clean it was nice and warm too, there was a kettle in the room with 4 teabags 4 coffee packs and 4 milk and sugar, there was a TV too! when we booked the room it was on special offer at £12 a room so we was not expecting much.... we were very surprised about this place and the smart service we got.... and we shall certainly stop here again, after a good nights sleep we got up refreshed and showered... there were large towels and soap provided and we were ready for our long drive home,we did not have breakfast here but it is available if you need one...........Thank You Travelodge

Room Tip: We did not look at any other rooms, our room was just right for me and my wife, we are senior citize...

“Pleasantly Surprised”

What value for money, paid £19.00 a night for the two of us & stayed one night before departing for the ferry & the other when we came back. Was a bit worried when broken glass crunched underfoot in the car park, made us a tad nervous about leaving the car but to no avail. Two cameras could overlook the car park but one is pointing to the ground & t'other only sees one small area by the looks of it, who knows if they work! Wasn't a problem about not having breakfast available as we just went to Morrisons up the road who do a decent breccie for £3 - £4. Was quite a lot of noise from people in nearby housing on the first night but on the second all was peaceful. Very nice large room & as I say real value for money. We've paid a lot more for B & B's previously which haven't been very good at all & leave you feeling ripped off, certainly didn't feel ripped off @ Travelodge. Very pleasant staff & will definately stay again.

“What a Place to stay.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

Booked into Travelodge Holyhead for one night on route to Ireland. The room was okay, but the noise from the water tank system in the hotel was unbearable. Every time the water was turned on anywhere in the building it sounded like the place was going to fall down. Mentioned the problem next morning at check out, but the receptionist did not appear to be interested.

Room Tip: Would be okay without the noise. A good stop of point if travelling by ferry.
