“A fairy tale”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

We stayed at Gwynfryn June 2009. We arrived there by chance and we found one of the best B&B we have ever been. Our room was small but very cosy, full of butterflies and lovely decorations. It was not ensuite, we had a private bathroom at our exclusive disposal opposite the landing. Everything was extremely clean and new, the bathroom was large.
The owners were very kind, they helped us find a parking area and Colin himself parked our car (we are Italian and so not so familiar with right-hand drive!). They left at our disposal a lot of DVDs to watch in our room.
Breakfast was abundant and good.
I have lovely memories of our staying there and would definitely come back!

“Charming & Great Location”

Monica and Colin are all about service. The rooms are quaint, sparkling clean, comfortable and, unlike many places we stayed, the wi-fi was super. The Gwynfryn is in a great location and within easy walking access to restaurants, shopping and historical sites.

Just so you have a little context, I'm super picky and would not think of recommending any place that is marginal. So, if you're looking for a great place to stay in Conwy, look no further.

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

Stayed at Gwynfryn B&B during the food (and lots of drink!) festival in October. Monica and Colin are perfect hosts and the B&B was absolutely charming. Lovely room, great breakfast, lovely company. Would highly recommend.

“Amazing B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

We were on a 2 month trip through most of western Europe. The UK was the last leg of the trip, and we wanted to see a historic castle. Conwy castle was a perfect choice, and we wanted to stay somewhere within the city walls. We actually arrived by train without any accommodations, but a quick phone call to Gwynfryn and we were able to sort out our stay. The location was amazing, right inside town walls, 100 feet away from the train station, 300 feet away from the castle, right next to 3 restaurants, etc. The town was small, quiet, and quaint, and was a nice break during our trip to large cities. The actual B&B was quite fantastic. The service was very friendly, Colin was eager to sort out our breakfast each morning, which was filling and delicious. They had fresh fruits, traditional Welsh breakfast, meats, juices, etc. The room was very nice, clean, comfortable, and had a large, full bathroom. It had a TV and a large movie collection which we enjoyed as we relaxed at night. They were even helpful in sneaking in a load of our laundry which was extremely helpful. It was the best B&B we have ever stayed at, and the service was impeccable. It was like staying with friends. Def recommend.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the top floor rooms. Quiet, charming, and nice.

“Our stay at Gwynfryn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

Great decor, very clean and fresh. I love the old charm, and the creativity of the decorations. The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom had lots of room and a wonderful tub. The town was 12th century old charm and the house fit right in. We even got help with parking.

Room Tip: Third floor room is quiet with a large private bathroom.
