My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights whilst visiting friends at university. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay, the room was a good size (deluxe double) and the shower was amazing. The room was mostly clean with a few gaps under doors which you can expect from a period property. The breakfast was very nice and served quickly and the atmosphere in the evening was vibrant, we couldn't hear it from our room!

Although most of the staff were friendly (if not a little confused) we weren't made to feel very welcome and felt that a few members of staff seemed to look down on us, even though we are young we are still paying customers like anyone else so would expect to be treated with a little more respect. Another downside was the size of the TV, although we didn't spend much time watching it, it was tiny and advertised as satellite which turned out to be freeview and that was if we ever got any signal.

All in all we had a nice stay and the location is amazing being just a few minuets from... Well everywhere :)

I'm currently staying in Harry's hotel for work purposes after my usual hotel was fully booked for a couple of nights. What can I say? I am not impressed in the slightest. The building itself is like a rabbit's den with sloping floors and walls leaning into each other. I finally found it to my room (I'm not sure how I'll be getting back) to be greeted by Harry Potter's cupboard under the stairs. The small single bed (which leave my feet dangling over the end) fills the room and the child size wardrobe can't even handle my jacket. The tv is fine if you sit a foot away from it but has nothing but very basic channels. It's the middle of winter but they don't seem to have any heating, maybe that's what the hair-dryer is for? I've already had 2 phonecalls with noone on the other end so that's come out of the wall to preserve my sanity. At least I can entertain myself with the free wi-fi: oh wait, that doesn't reach much further than reception, and definitely not on any of the higher floors. On the upside, it's clean enough, but so are hospitals and I don't know anyone who wants to stay there either.

would ask for a room higher up the building so not to be over the bar as very noisy when they were busy.

I was very late arriving and after a long trail from reception to the room I found an awful smell inside. When I went back downstairs everybody had gone. No-one was there at all! The smell was so bad that I dragged my mattress to a store room and slept amongst the tools.

If I had the choice between a park bench and this place I would sleep on a park bench.
