“Magnificent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

A regular here now – because the food, service, ambiance, location and most importantly customer service is 100%! Everyone goes out of their way to really give the customer that great experience. Customer really is number 1 here. The hotel is clean, elegant and contemporary with plenty of parking.

This place really is special. The staff go out of their way to really please their guests in every way and manner. Food is good and they even have a health club that comes with indoor pool, steam room and sauna and gym. Included are top polite staff. A special mention to Jason at Spirit who is always happy and friendly and a pleasure to encounter. The bar area is spacious, clean and full of ambiance. A great spacious place to relax before or after dinner with a plasma TV and Sky channels.

Welcome at reception is the best – also a special thank you to Monica who is just always smiling and so welcoming that the customer just feels at home. She really brings the warmth to the hotel on a cold day! She knows how to treat a guest well and is so professional. The Holiday Inn have a great resource in Monica. She is such a pleasure to talk to and so friendly, polite, cheerful and really goes a long way to make my 3 year old son feel welcome which is lovely! So many times I have visited hotels worldwide and service is always been good but here in Maidenhead the service really stands out. The management here have got this right – which is why this place is always busy and buzzing because everyone is treated brilliantly!

I really enjoy coming here so much to this great well run hotel, thank you so much!

Dear Ranj
Thanks for taking the time to write a review of the hotel and of course to be able to read such nice comments which I will of course pass on to the team.
All feedback is great to receive, but possibly even more important coming from someone who sees us on a regular basis. It really is great to know you feel we are looking after you and your family.
Thanks again for taking the time and trouble to write and we look forward to welcoming you and your family back, hopefully in the not too distant future.
Regards

“Ok but overpriced”

Stayed here for 2 nights on business, check in went very smoothly, room on a par with Premier Inns. All staff we helpful and polite. Breakfast, all my party thought it was sub standard for that type of hotel, and why are hotels now not serving grapefruit juice!!!!
Dinner was OK, but think Chef/s should go on a refresher course.
Would not stay here if I was paying.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review following your stay with us here at Maidenhead. Glad to read that overall you enjoyed your stay although I have noted your comments on our breakfast offering. With regard to our pricing, we do try and remain competitive in the market place compared to similar hotels, sorry if you felt this did not reflect value for money on this occasion.
I do hope this will not deter you from returning to stay with us should you be in the area again.
Kind regards

“Great Receptionist...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

I stayed in this hotel for 6 days due to work commitments in the area just before Christmas. The hotel seemed fairly quiet as it was so close to the holiday celebration but I had a great stay.

The receptionist who checked me in was lovely, gave me free wifi and I ended up in a exec. room which I certainly didn't pay for booking through Hotwire.

My room was lovely and quiet and very clean and plenty of space for little old me!

I ate in the restaurant a couple of times - the food was great but they seemed to have quite a few things missing off the menu such as Gratin, Cauliflower Cheese and a couple of puddings. Not the end of the world but annoying!

I also had room service which arrived promptly and was nice and hot.

Tried the healthclub facilities out which were virtually empty - nice pool and facilities but a real shame the whirlpool was empty and roped off.

Plentiful carparking and very easy to find.

All in all a pleasant stay and I would return and recommend.

“O.K Stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Stayed here on a family trip to Legoland last October. The main areas of the hotel seemed fine, however ,our room was a little shabby and had seen better days,The breakfast was excellent and the dining area pleasant. When we checked out we were charged for a meal we hadn"t had and they had no signature for it.I showed them a receipt from the restraunt we had eaten at and the times of the two meals were taken were almost the same ,giving them proof we were not even in the hotel at that time. The monies were refunded as we left on checkout, then a week later we received an invoice in the post ,showing the meal had been charged to us again. It took several lenghty phone calls to get our monies back.I was not impressed and will not be using this hotel on our next visit to Legoland.

Thanks for the review, glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay. I was disappointed to read of the billing issues you had for which I sincerely apologise. I don't understand what happened with that and sorry for the inconvenience in trying to sort it out. Hope this incident doesn't deter you completely from staying here again in the future.
