“Business lunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

The restaurant wasnt very busy but quite noisy as many patrons using mobile phones. Initially the service was very good and drinks and menus soon arrived. The food was pretty good but expensive.

The problem started when we wanted to leave as all the staff had vanished. Tired with waiting so walked into other building to pay. The bill was incorrect and had to point out the errors.

Shame the service was so very poor.

“Great All Ronder”

I use this hotel alot as it's just across the road from my offices, The staff are warm and friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting, especially in the cosy bar area. Food is always appetising, fresh and well presented and reasonably priced too. The rooms themselves are smallish but perfectly acceptable, clean, tidy and well furnished, although it;s worthy of note that the outside "bungalow" rooms can get a little cold in the winter. Free wifi in the bar is good too, especially as you'll struggle to get any sort of phone signal in the hotel and the wifi doesn't stretch as far as the rooms.

Room Tip: the rooms in the main building are larger, and warmer!!

Many thanks for your positive comments regarding the hotel.
There are individual thermostats on the heaters in the courtyard rooms so the temperature can be regulated by the guest and all rooms have hard wired internet access as well as wi-fi.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Christopher again very soon,.

“A great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

This hotel is great and I would stay here again. The only fault I found was the noise from the hotel bar. We stayed in Room 3 which is directly above the bar so until 2am I couldn't sleep due the music which was rather loud. I did call reception around 1am, they were very polite and said they were turning off the music, this happened at around 2am, eventually I then got some sleep. I do recommend that if you stay at this hotel to request a quiet room away from the bar, the chalets at the back of the hotel look like the best place to stay. Aside from this I thought the hotel was clean, the staff extremely polite and the food in the restaurant was very good too. Mrs O'Neill

“very poor customer service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

this hotel was dirty they promised me a put up bed for my grandaughter, when i arrived they told me they had run out and that she would have to sleep with me. i told them i would have to find other accomadation, and the manager promised they would not take any money from my credit card, as i had already given my details. so i did not check in and went to another hotel. after a week of arriving home, i checked my bank and found they had taken £280 from me. i phoned them and they were rude saying they did have a bed but i refused it. they are horrid people to deal with they did not have any customer service, and refused to give me my money back. please take my advice and KEEP AWAY.

Room Tip: i would not subject any to stay in this place

We are very disappointed to receive these comments from Mrs J which we believe to be inaccurate.
Our staff all care very deeply about the guests who stay with us at the Christopher Hotel and we normally receive very positive feedback about our customer service.
Mrs J arrived at the hotel before check in time of 15:00 and had use of her room for more than 4 hours before departing.
The room had been checked for cleanliness by our Head Housekeeper prior to arrival. It was checked again after her departure and no lapses in housekeeping were noted with exception of the bath which had been used during her stay.
We have 12 rollaway beds at our hotel and would have been more than happy to provide one should it have been requested.
Regards

“extremely pleasant hotel with friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

Stayed here with my husband, teenager and 2 tots on a Legoland package.

The hotel is small and very friendly. Nothing was a problem for any of the hotel staff.
We had a lovely walk out on the evening, hotel location is amazing.

The room was nice. Nothing over special, but pleasant clean and comfy.

We ate in the attached restaurant and the food was gorgeous. Breakfast is continental but we paid extra for the cooked brekkie which I would highly recommend.

The only downside to this hotel is the parking, breathe in when entering the car park through the tunnel. Defo park elsewhere if you have a range rover ;o)

A lovely stay, would recommend the hotel and would love to visit again.
