I walked the 5-10 mins from the train station and was greeted by name at the door with a helpful/efficient check-in. As the name suggests this is more of a college than a hotel but I was expecting this. The college appears to cater for religious studies principally older people so the place was pretty quiet which made for a good night's sleep.
The room I stayed in was single en suite which was clean and had a nice view of the cathederal. There was no TV but as I had to prepare for a meeting, this wasn't an issue.
Breakfast was cereal, tea, coffee and cooked breakfast - similar to what you may expect at a youth hostel.
Overall, I found Sarum college good value, don't expect a five star hotel but if you want a quiet, clean and comfortable room this is a decent place to stay in the heart of Salisbury.
