Firstly the positives - the location is very picturesque, quiet and offers a beautiful 10 minute walk directly into Salisbury. Equally the daily breakfast was outstanding with lovely menu to select from as well as a buffet of cereals, fruit and juice: everything we had was delicious and the breakfast staff were very pleasant. The downside - the rooms. They were certainly functional but screws were missing from handles, paintwork badly scratched or patched with another color, different from the original, and just a general feeling of being worn, tired and a little dysfunctional as if the owners had run out of energy finishing their renovations. It was the small detail that let down the Old Mill - it could be outstanding. Note that the stairs are quite narrow and steep so small bags not huge suitcases advisable!
