I have just come back from a one night stay in Leeds - at The Aintree Hotel - It was not the first Hotel I tried - As alot of Hotels were fully booked due to the Robbie Williams (who was brilliant by the way!!) When we arrived at the Hotel, first appearances were not good - Both the outside and inside did not look clean - The Proprietors Husband was smoking in the Dining Area and the Dog was in the Lounge with Hairs visible all over the carpet - Also in the Dining Area was the Dog's Food Bowl with food spilling out over it! We went to our room which was equally awful - The Wallpaper was all ripped and there were 2 dark patches on the wall where peoples heads obvioulsy rested when they sat up in bed - There were 2 other couples satying at the Hotel with us and they said that their rooms were equally as bad - But swept up in the excitement of seeing Robbie Williams we all quickly changed and went off to the Concert and pushed the Grotty Hotel to the back of our minds. The full horror was to be revealed to us upon our return later that night!! We all returned to Hotel and wanted to sit and have a drink and chat - But the Lounge was locked and so was the Dining Area - So we all ended up in a bedroom sitting on the Beds! I went to the toilet - I lifted the lid and there was dried faeces and urine splattered all over the bowl! In the Shower was a large collection of hairs and in the bin was a clump of hair! DISGUSTING! One of my friends had a cup of tea and when she opened what she thought was the teabag container - She was greeted with used teabags that had been there for goodness knows how long as they had gone MOULDY!! On inspection of my friends toilets and rooms they were no better either. After seeing the man smoking in the Dining Room we had all made a decision not to stop for Breakfast (which by the way was not being served untill 9.30am - A bit late if you want to get on) - I had an awful nights sleep being in constant fear of what other horrors I might find - The bed did have clean sheets but on top of that was a dirty duvet which was obviously repeatedly used! Therefore I slept fully clothed praying for morning to arrive. We all made a hastey exit at just after 8am - We were charged £50 for our rooms which is a total RIP OFF!! I wanted to protest but my nice friends didn't want to cause a fuss. My advice to anyone thinking of staying here - DON'T! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!
