We booked this on a £29 per night offer so booked 2 nights as we were visiting family and friends in the area between Christmas and New Year; it was therefore very good value for money. It is a 5 minute drive/taxi ride to the airport itself and is positioned next to a Beefeater restaurant and opposite Murgatroyds fish and chip shop/restaurant which serves the most amazing fish and chips with melt-in-your-mouth batter.
The staff were smiling, courteous and friendly and the inn itself seemed to have been refurbished since my last stay in 2002. It was spotlessly clean and fluffy towels and hand soap and shower gel were included.
We booked a family room and we were happy to see that the child's bed was made up on arrival - something that Travelodge don't tend to do (I have had to request bedding and make up the beds on more than one occasion and various Travelodges)
The minuses - the windows have been secondary glazed with the net curtains sitting between the two panes. This meant that there was condensation present at the windows almost all of the time unless you took pains to move back the inside window and open the outside one.
The beds very very firm - okay for my husband but if you are of more ample proportions like myself, they can be very uncomfortable.
Overall a good no-nonsense place to stay, clean and quiet despite its location, with a choice of places to eat and only a very short drive to the airport. Also a handy location to visit Otley and Otley Chevin as well as places in the north and west of Leeds.
