“Feel like a queen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Friendly and attentive staff, very large and grand room in an old-fashioned style which makes you feel like a queen. Little pluses just to make your stay better like a large choice of teas, a coffee filter and also hot chocolate with some lovely biscuits, and a few minutes after checking in the housekeeper came by with some complimentary bottles of water.
If you're a very llight sleeper the noise from the heating might disturb you but it didn't bother me.
It's also very central, close to the centre of Leeds. Would definitely stay there again.

We are so glad we could make you 'Feel like a queen', this is an effect Quebecs can have on you! Our decor is a subtle version of modern rennaissance that blends perfectly with the grandeur of the building; the former Liberal Club dating back to 1891.

Thank you for mentioning the little extras we put in the rooms such as the filter coffee, we are glad you made use of them.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon, please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do to make your future stays more comfortable.

Many thanks

“Boutique hotel at Premier Inn price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Like all hotels there are pro's and con's to this one.

Pro's

* Location - right by the train station but down a quiet street.
* Staff - friendly and helpful from the start. Other hotels could take a leaf out of their book.
* Room - we were lucky enough to be upgraded and the room was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay.
* Price - cheap as chips for a city hotel with such style.
* Bathroom - overhead and hand shower, plenty of space and two sinks.

Con's

* Air con or heating system was very loud and kept me awake all night. Eventually the night staff came and turned it off but there was a vent or generator outside that they couldn't turn off and was still very noisy.
* Breakfast - served in a lovely room but only a small selection and wasn't very appetizing.
* Decor - a bit tired in places - the carpet and curtains in our room had clearly been cleaned but there were stains on them. The room would benefit from a lick of paint too.

Overall I think you'd do well to find as nice a hotel at as good a price in the city centre. We would stay again but ask for a quiet room (maybe higher up?). If you want a good price comparison The Queens hotel is two mins aways with similar style and charge a lot more.

Enjoy your stay, we did!

Room Tip: My tip? Ask for a quiet room and don't go for the basic room pay the little extra for an upgrade...

Thank you very much for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. I am so glad to hear that you had an enjoyable stay with us.

It was great to read all your positive comments, especially with regard to how friendly and helpful our staff are.

We were happy so see that the 'cons' were not as many as the 'pros', however I would like to look into these further, I would be grateful if you could drop me a line when you have a minute so I may find out which room you stayed in and rectify the issues such as the noisy air conditioning unit.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Quebecs soon, please contact me directly so I may personally oversee your stay.

Many thanks

It's a boutique hotel, so the rooms aren't massive, but it's bang in the middle of town by the station, it's well presented and good value

This was a last minute booking that turned out very well. We stayed in an executive suite. Firstly we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, we had a great sleep in a comfortable bed, nice bathroom with a great shower, great location. Would recommend.

“Excellent hotel in central Leeds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

person found this review helpful

I stayed at this hotel on a weekend away with a friend. Great hotel and atmosphere! The rooms are pretty grand and well maintained, it really felt like a 5-star hotel! Breakfast rooms was a bit small, though there was a good variety of pastries and cereals. The hotel is very centrally located and there are many bars/restaurants a few minutes away.
I would definitely recommend it and stay again next time I'm in Leeds.
