I have stayed at this Hotel twice, the first time I was not impressed and the latest time I was quite annoyed and determined not to stay again. To be fair here is my opinion:
Food: Variety good, quality good, portions good, price - a bit more expensive than warranted.
Service: Very good, all staff were helpful and had a pleasant demeanor.
Overall Cleanliness: Very Good and visually so.
Facilities: Better than the average.
Rooms: Now here is where I got angry. I paid £110 per night for a 'Superior Room'. The room deserved the title 'Superior' and I could not fault it at all. The en-suite was top notch without a doubt. However, if you got this room and were expecting a decent night sleep forget it. Rooms 19, 20 [superior] and 21 are above the kitchen extractor system and the resultant LOUD humm pervades the whole room. You can even hear it walking along the corridor. It is so loud that it is pretty much akin to water boarding [torture] and sleep would be impossible. I complained about this and it was shut off at 1055pm and came on again at 0600. The bottom line is that had I known this I certainly would not have paid the £110 for the room, in fact I would have moved rooms but there were no others available. This single factor spoiled what might have been a good night for me. One more issue with this hotel, there is not a single room with a window that opens they are all sealed and fitted secondary glazed windows in place. All rooms are 'conditioned' so there is no fresh air and the constant hum of the conditioners.
