This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Our room was fairly clean except for the bathroom. There was dried faeces on the outside of the toilet! My elderly parents bed had the springs poking out of the mattress so they had to sleep on top of the duvet, cover themselves with towels and turn the heating up. Their mattress was very badly stained. The hotel isvery shabby, bits of tape holding the carpet together where there were rips.On the plus side we were refunded our money after making a complaint. The photos on booking.com who we booked through were nothing like the ones we stayed in. At £66.00 per room per night without breakfast it wasn't worth it.

stayed here over christmas ..rooms ok a bit dated,,constant hot water which is good..staff mostly men,.maybe this is why no christmas atmosphere ,no entertainment only a race night on two nights and a christmas dvd,,no live entertainment , bingo ,quizzes, decorations etc..after paying a lot of money it was very disappointing....only advantage you are in centre of leeds.....................

Stayed here for bit of Christmas shopping and picking up my daughter from Leeds Uni for the Christmas holidays. Excellent position in centre of Leeds. Car parking right next door to hotel and hotel provided reduced rates for overnight parking (£10.50). Had twin bedded room with my sister - small but very comfortable, clean and very comfy beds. Bathroom was clean and had an excellent shower! Very quiet at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food or breakfast. We had an excellent buffet breakfast at the carvery restaurant in the Merrion Shopping Centre itself for £4.99. Overall, a very good stay with reasonable rates. Would stay here again.

Stayed here by booking through travel offers so got a very reasonable rate. Rooms were of a good standard clean and well furnished, but the hotel itself was very tired and in need of brightening up. Food was adequate and ok,not poor, but certainly not what you would choose for a meal out. We went for the theatre and shopping and from that perspective the position was ideal. Parking can be expensive, but ther are a couple of buiding site type car parks just past the theatre that you can get for £6.50 per day. At the pice we paid good value but not worth the full rate.
