The hotel is in a good position with plenty of car parking. There are steps up to the hotel. Greeted courteously and checked in we found that the lift was not working. However the young man on reception carried our bags up about three or four flights of stairs.

When we eventually arrived in the room we found that there was only one set of towels one glass and one cup. We had booked a "Superior Room" with "Luxury Rainforest Shower". What a joke the bed was a standard double and the shower was a small corner shower with sliding doors that was a squeeze to get in. The bed squeaked with a thin mattress and to try to put the kettle on was an extremely physical manoeuvre to plug it in. There was no heating at all in the shower room and it was very cold.

Had to make reception aware as a mistake had clearly been made with our room allocation - no telephone in the room, a telephone socket but no phone. So down all those flights of stairs and the receptionist confirmed that we had been given a "Superior Room" with "Luxury Rainforest Shower". He went and got the towels and cups etc and took them up to the room but I still had to climb all those stairs!

There was no welcome pack in the room such as fire escapes,TV Channels times of dining etc but there was a printed menu at reception. The menu looked quite interesting but if it was going to be of the same standard as "Superior Room" with "Luxury Rainforest Shower" we decided we would eat out and went to Habbib's which is a fantastic Indian Buffet but take your own wine.

However breakfast was great which was a freshly cooked English and a cafertiere of coffee.

check in - smooth and efficient Room - Bed lovely spotless white bedding, lovely comfortable beds and an excellent nights sleep undisturbed. Shower - perfect flow of water and temperature perfect, towels perfect size and toiletries full size rather than fussy travel size shampoos and lotions. Tea and coffee making facilities, large flat screen television in perfect position for viewing while relaxing on the bed. Staff - as perfect as the room.

Stayed at The Lister 19 to 20th november.Manager (Ryan) was very helpful,polite ,effiecient,nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
Lovely big room overlooking the park,jacussi bath ,comfortable bed
Dinner was delicious and well presented and so was breakfast
We were with another couple who were equally impressed We will definately stay here again as we have family in Bradford

Stayed here at begining of November, check in took all of 30secs, the room was spotless, spacious and comfy. Came down for dinner and was served with some of the best food i have had in years, Breakfast was also superb.
