A disappointing week as the hotel is under refurbishment and therefore prone to problems. The Sky TV in the very small lounge / bar kept sticking so whilst advertised and one of the reasons we stayed here so extremely disappointing (especilly as it seems no where else in the city centre does sky tv. The temporary breakfast area is a shambles and buffet style hot food so cold as a result (the omelete chef for the first 3 days also seemed he had been dragged in off the streets to cooks eggs). The rooms themselves are ok but dated and the shower was luke warm at best. I hope the downstairs refurb will extend upstairs.Check In and Out was fine. Menus well over priced so eating out was a must. Location is excellent to get around with a very good bus service to anywhere within 5 mins walk.

On New Year's Eve the Bradford Hilton hosts a Dinner and Ball with overnight accomodation which is always something special and great value for money. We've been for several years. The celebration ball has live music and a fantastic DJ. A good 5 course dinner is served (with limited choices) There's a "champagne" reception before dinner and a "champagne" toast at midnight to welcome the inevitable bagpipe player. It's all great fun and usually a very welcoming atmosphere.

The accomodation is a bit basic for a Hilton! The rooms are not big; reception can get very busy with limited staff; food outside of the Banqueting Suite is adequate but nothing special, and the "Restaurant" isn't much more than a lobby bar. You can't make a credit card telephone booking direct with the hotel without sending them a photocopy of your credit card. It's certainly lower league as Hiltons go but, for the money, it's a great way to see in the new year.

The City of Bradford is an unattractive place - you'd need to have a definite reason to visit!

We booked well in advance (a good few months) as we were visiting family in Bradford. On arrival at the hotel late on a Friday night, we were told that the hotel had overbooked and there were no rooms for us. Instead, we were moved to another nearby hotel for one night and then on the second night we were moved back to the Hilton. I can't see why we couldn't have been informed of this before arriving at the hotel since we'd made the booking quite some time before the stay. It's the last thing you want after a long drive, and doesn't give me much confidence in their booking system. The rooms themselves are fine - nothing amazing or special which is funny given that this is supposedly a 4 star hotel. The hotel that we were moved to for the one night was actually much much nicer and they'll be getting our custom from now on as we're regular visitors to Bradford due to family living there. There are much better hotels in the centre of Bradford - I wouldn't recommend this one.

Stayed here to visit the media museum and break up a brighton to newcastle drive. Easy to fInd and parked right next door in the NCP. Very friendly check in and room was very nice. I was at the back overlooking the bus station. Ate at the chinese buffet next door, good value. Slept well and breakfast the following morning was very nice, esp the hot chocolate. Easy check out and only a 5 min walk to the museum. Car park cost 6.50 for about 18 hours. Only downside was a few drunks hanging round outside with one coming into hotel restaurant. Staff dealt with him quite well.
