“Take your earplugs”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

Headline says it all-road noise from the M606 on one side, Cash and Carry plus M&S warehouse on the other (all I could hear at 4am was the down-shifting of HGV gears). Upside is it is cheap (39.99 a night), plenty of car parking, good location, the rooms are a good size, the reception is nice and the staff are friendly. Good bathroom as well. Didn't try breakfast as I left at 5am as I couldn't sleep and couldn't bear it any longer. If they got some decent double glazing/soundproofing, it would be 5 out of 5. If you are a light sleeper, give it a miss, if you dont mind noise, go for it. PS-the A/C stroke heating system has got to be the most complicated I've ever came across-I had to use the hair-dryer to heat up the room!

Room Tip: I suppose the side on the Motorway is better?

“Comfortable and Simple”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

I stayed here on a 2 night business trip. Overall the experience was a good one. Room clean and tidy. The room was quite cool only heating was an air conditioning unit that heated. This did not heat the full room when you were sat at the desk near the window. The bathroom was nice and clean. If you are a light sleeper it is on a industrial estate and there is some noise most of the night. The restaurant was very good, the food was very nice. My only note would be that the service was quite slow. On one of the evenings I waiting over 10 mins after finishing by main meal for the plate to be taken away and by then did not fancy a dessert. The prices of the drinks and food were very reasonable. I would stay here again. Comfortable and Simple

“Very comfortable stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

Just spent two nights here at the weekend on a coach trip. There were three more coaches here at the same time and everything went well considering how busy it was. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom looked new and was separate from the toilet, only criticism was that the bath was very deep and some people might have difficulty getting in and out and it needs a bar on the wall to assist with this as the towel rail is being used and is coming away from the wall.
Staff were very helpful. Meals were very good, plenty of food, well presented and hot.
The hotel is on a industrial estate, handy for the motorway but there is nothing else there to walk to only a Greggs the bakers.

“Noisy niights”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

I stayed for 2 nights on a business trip and had problems sleeping because of the noise.
The air conditioning unit outside was running continuously and there was a local lorry park and motorway nearby also adding to the noise. Not to mention the drunken people arriving back in the small hours and the smokers congregating outside the hotel entrance.
The food in the restaurant was very basic but expensive. The staff were freindly and helpful and thew room was clean and well decorated.

Room Tip: Don't get a room at the fron of the hotel

“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011 via mobile

Really enjoyed my stay here. Friendl staff, good clean spacious rooms. The only downside is it is a little difficult to get to if you don't have a car.
